Dr. Matthias Röder builds AI systems for creative leaders, organizations, and cultural institutions. His work sits at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and artificial intelligence: turning AI from a collection of tools into systems that help people think, create, decide, and act.

His best-known public proof point is Beethoven X, the international AI project that completed Beethoven's unfinished 10th Symphony. Matthias led the project from concept to premiere. It made global headlines and generated over €300 million in earned media, but the deeper lesson was simpler: AI becomes powerful when it is designed as a creative system with memory, judgment, constraints, and human taste.

From Beethoven X to The Mindshift

Today, through The Mindshift, Matthias helps leadership teams design practical AI systems: agent workflows, knowledge infrastructures, creative operations, and decision support that fit the way people actually work. The goal is not to replace human creativity, but to give it better instruments.

Matthias's current work extends from organizational AI strategy to AI-native cultural projects, including Mozart Junior, an attempt to build an ongoing creative AI artist rather than another chatbot or one-off demo.
