Most of the times we use creativity to achieve clarity. This is the case when we play around until we are happy with the result.

Sometimes we have clarity before creativity. This is the case when we solve hard problems. The goal is clear but the way to get there is not yet.

In any moment in life, it is helpful to observe whether you are in one mode or the other.

I think this might be especially the case in our creative interactions with generative AI.

Do I know what I want to get out of this interaction with an AI or am I looking for an answer in my creative play with this AI?
