Value creation by ecosystems benefits all players in the market. It is in contrast to the ideas of Peter Thiel put forth in his book From Zero to One where one monopolists takes the entire value in the market. The ecosystem approach is to solve each problem once and distribute the resulting value maximally across all market participants. After that, the ecosystem moves on to solve the next problem. Perhaps this approach will yield more innovation at a higher pace.
